~~MADMAN'S   DEN~~

Hi welcome to my page hope you enjoy this site!

The year is now 2008 and so much has happened since I first started this page. I first created this in 1998. Now 10 years later I have decided to come back and do some updates. I had no idea it would take so long or so many revisions. So much has happened so where do I begin?

Well first of all, many people have asked why I use this name and some come up with their own theory's and questions. Actually I use this name because I have raised three teenagers, two daughters and a son. LOL Now for those of you who are parents I think you can understand this name VERY WELL.

Little bit about myself, I was born and raised in Massachusetts, and moved to upstate New York sixteen years ago. I am computer literate, an avid reader with my favorite author being Stephen King. I love the ocean, seafood, Italian food and coke is my favorite drink. I am a Titanic enthusiast since the age of 10 or so. I love movies, family get togethers and quiet times. I am a collector of antiques and love to refinish furniture. I collect many things and never have enough room to display them.

Dislikes: phonies, pushy people, snobs and people who play head games, taxes, bills and salesmen and not necessarily in that order.

Some mighty special people have made an important factor in my life, and to them I just have to say thanks for always being there, and helping me to be the person I am today.

My parents who without their support I would have never turned into the person I am today. My aunts and uncles, most long gone, played such an important factor in my life. I can remember family get togethers like they were yesterday, though in reality they were decades ago.

My ex-wife whom I spent a lifetime with. Although it eventually ended in a divorce there is a part of me who does love her and most likely always will.

My kids, each special in their own way, has made my life fullfilling and kept me young.

My sister, whose bond to me has kept me rich with support and understanding like only a sister can.

My two grandsons, who are bringing me joy. I have to say that grandchilden can keep you eternally young.

My lover, who has showed me what it is like to be loved and respected. Your support means more than you can possibly realize.

And my Internet friends, some past, some present, you know who you are by our nightly talks. Always there with an ear, to listen and advise without judgement or malice, to laugh, joke, and share stories and sometimes just to sigh and say I know how you feel. Thank You for letting me be me.

NOTE:

I updated this page in the year 2000 after my family and I had a personal loss. Our daughter Jessica passed away on June 2nd, 2000 of complications due to Cystic Fibrosis. Jessica's struggles in fighting Cystic Fibrosis carried on for all of her life. She had a double lobe, live donor transplant in April 1999. Unfortunately her health declined as the year passed. Many fantastic people, both family and friends came to our support to help us through such a difficult time I am thankful for all the prayers and best wishes we have received through all of this. Jess will remain alive in our hearts and our minds and will be remembered for her spirit, her helping others and reaching so many people through her life. Please see the memorial page I have set up for Jess.

AFTERTONES by Janis Ian

Within the memories of our life gone by

afraid to die..

we learn to lie and measure out the time in coffee spoons

in fading suns

and dying moons.

Till all that's left to see are aftertones

and no one knows

where meaning goes.

VISIONS by Stevie Wonder

I'm not one to make believe, I know the leaves are green, they only turn to brown when autumn comes around.

I know just what to say, today's not yesterday and all things have an ending.

But what I'd like to know, is could a place like this exist so beautiful, or do we have to find our wings and fly away to the vision in our minds?

STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN by Led Zeppelin

There's a feeling I get when I look to the west, and my spirit is crying for leaving.

In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees and the voices of those who stand looking.

And it's whispered that soon if we all call the tune, then the piper will lead us to reason.

And a new day will dawn, for those who stand long, and the forests will echo will laughter...and it makes me wonder.

THE DANCE by Garth Brooks

Our lives are better left to chance,

I could have missed the pain,

but I'd have missed the dance.

And so on to the page, this is what you came for .......WELCOME TO A MADMAN'S DEN............
